The Democratic Party & The Republican Party

The difference between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party is a bit complex.

<< A private corporation works for profit; and Government employees work for salary. >>

Remember this statement as we will be using it throughout this small article. The democrats generally believe in a larger federal government. This means, if the government owns a hospital, the government will hire the doctor and the government will make the doctor work.

The Republicans generally believe on the empowerment of the individual. They believe, if an individual owns a hospital, he will hire a doctor and he will make the doctor work.

Now, the republicans argue, the hospital that is owned by the individual will perform better than the hospital that is owned by the government. Of course, the private owner works for his profit.

The democrats, in turn, will tell you, the hospital that is owned by the government will be more affordable than the one that is owned by the individual. Even though the hospital that is owned by the individual will perform better, but it will only be affordable to the rich and few. Government doctor doesn’t work for profit. He works for salary.

When people choose democrats, the money moves from the republicans to the democrats and vise-versa.

If a man moves his money from one pocket to the other, it will not make him poor. If we move the money from the pocket of the republicans to the pocket of the democrats, none of the wealth of the nation is lost. Regardless, the economy will continue to perform in one way or the other as long as the money is within the nation.

IMHO, an ideal government should have both private and government hospitals. The government hospital should hire student doctors and the private hospitals the most experienced doctors. The poor people could go to the government hospital and the rich people could go to the private hospital. The rich must receive the best treatment. They have worked very hard for their money. What else will they use their hard earned money for if not for their own health?

Last year, I had a bicycle accident. Naturally, if I give blood, I pass out –that’s me. After my head hit the pavement, blood was coming out of my forehead. I guess, my two Eritrean friends have never seen blood in their life. If they had let me stay for 5 t0 10 minutes, I would have recovered by myself. But, they called the ambulance. In the ambulance, when I was about to wake up, they injected with some kind of heavy drug and, again, I passed out. At the hospital, I woke up from my heavy sleep. I found out they already have put 4 or 5 stitches on my forehead. When I tried to leave, they again gave me another dose, and I fell back to sleep. They released me the next day in the morning. Two weeks later, they sent 36,000 dollars bill to my house. My insurance negotiated the bill down to 6,000. They, finally, asked me to pay 200 dollars. I also negotiated that down to 180 dollars. That’s how the private hospitals milk the rich. If a rich gets into an accident, they celebrate as if they have won a lottery. The point is, if all hospitals become private, that would be the result. How many have been millionaires the day before and lost everything the day after because of these abuse in the healthcare? Old, baby boomers are holding their jobs because they are afraid of this greedy healthcare. Now, the young most educated with the latest technologies cannot find jobs, because the old are not retiring. The old cannot learn new sciences.

The number one reason why corporations go overseas is because labor is cheap in the host countries.

The Republicans say,

<<

lowering the minimum wage or even totally eliminating it would create a lot of jobs. The youth must be kept busy. If they youth is not busy, he may use his energies towards crime or drugs. If minimum wage is eliminated, if child labor is eliminated, if the government doesn’t interfere in the private business, they could bring back most of the outsourced companies.

>>

The democrats say,

<<

If the government takes its hands out of these businesses, if they stop interfering in the private businesses, the businesses would abuse their workers. Moreover, people cannot live by $1 an/hour salary.

>>

The Republicans reply:

<<

Look at the prisons and crime rates? Is it better to keep the youth busy or let him drift into crimes? Is it better for the youth to learn work ethics from early age or we should let him pass his days idly in the streets?

>>

Some corporations (like the police, the prison, the army, the construction of roads, the protection of the environment, etc.) should run only by the government.

Some corporations (like Microsoft, 3M, Apple, Samsung, etc.) should only run by the private owners.

Some corporations (like hospitals, schools, transportation etc.) should run by both private and government. They both could operate side by side.

If we give Microsoft to the government, it would collapse in one day. That’s the mistake the communists made. Wherever they went, they created a mess.

Now, if I fall from my bicycle and become unconscious. Where should the ambulance take me? How will they know if I am rich or poor? I this situation, they must take me to the government hospital until I gain my consciousness. Then, I can choose where to go. After all, it is a free country.

Let’s make America great again together!

Salutations!
